What are the Housing Portals?

The housing portals are full of a lot of useful information for both parents and visitors as well as students.  The Parent and visitor portal does not require login, however the students portal can be accessed using your CougarNet login information.  New students typically receive this information within a couple weeks of applying for admission to CSU.


Parent and Visitor Portal:

  • Resources: Bursar's Office, Calendar, Dates and Deadlines
  • New Student Information: Housing Requirement, Move-In Day Information, Things to Bring
  • Policies: Community Guide, Deposit Refunds
  • Rates: Meal and Housing Prices, Cancellation Policy
  • Helpful Links: Orientation, Postal Mail, Storage
  • Residence Hall Info: Pictures, Floorplans, Directions


Student Portal: Everything that is in the Parent's Portal Plus...

  • Apply for housing
  • Complete Room Selection
  • Forms: Maintenance Request, Room Change, Meal Plan Change, Overnight Guest
  • ResLife Live: Live Chat Option
  • Leadership and Involvement Opportunities


New Students, Spring 2015: What's Next

  • Apply for Housing, $25  application fee due
  • Choose your Room (November/December), $300 deposit and $50 activity fee due at that time
  • Make a Check In Appointment (Login to the Housing Portal for More Details)
  • Complete Financial Aid Paperwork (Priority Deadline: November 15, 2014)
  • Orientation (January 7, 2015)
  • Move-In (January 7, 2015)


New Students, Fall 2015: What's Next

  • Apply for Housing, $25 application fee due
  • Look for roommates (Roommate Matching will be live February 2015)
  • Choose your Room (May/June/July)
  • Register for Orientation
  • Complete Financial Aid Paperwork (Priority Deadline: March 13, 2015)
  • Move In (August 11- Main Campus, August 13-RiverPark)
