Housing and Meal Plan Rates

All housing and meal plan fees are per person, per semester. All fees include coin-free laundry, electricity, water, cable, and internet.

Application Fee

A non-refundable $200.00 annual application fee is collected when a student applies for housing at CSU. The application fee covers administrative costs related to the application and assignment process.

Residence Life Activity Fee

A $50.00 annual residence life activity fee is collected at the time of application to housing. The fee allows the Residence Life Office to provide regular educational and social activities within the residence halls.

Residents currently residing on campus will be charged 50% of their spring semester housing fee if not returning for the spring semester. Students not staying for the spring semester must check out no later than December 13, 2016 to avoid additional charges.

Cancellation Policy as Stated in the Housing Agreement:


A. Full Cancellation.  To cancel this Agreement, Resident must submit a completed Housing Cancellation Form available at the University Housing website (  Except as described in Subparagraph B below (No Cost Termination), a Resident's cancellation of this Housing Agreement will result in accruing certain cancellation charges as described in Schedule B of this Agreement (Chart Above).

B. No Cost Termination.  Resident may cancel his/her Housing Agreement without cancellation charges upon submission of supporting documentation evidencing one of the following occurrences during the Term:

  • Graduation;
  • Call to active military duty;
  • Marriage;
  • Birth of a Resident's child;
  • Enrollment in a University-sponsored study abroad program or affiliated academic internship;
  • Approved medical withdrawal from the University;
  • Death of Resident

Any Resident canceling for one of the reasons covered by this subparagraph will remain responsible for payment of the Housing Fee on a pro-rata basis through the date of cancellation.

Housing Contract Appeals     Housing Appeals Icon

Students may appeal any portion of the housing contract to the Housing Appeals Committee by submitting a written appeal within the Housing Appeals Form linked above. The Housing Appeals Committee meets once per month and bi-weekly during the months of May, June and July. The appeal will be a review of the record only. No meeting will be held with the appellant.
